Body Guard Crabs

Designed by Dave McKenna, The BodyGuard Crab is one of the most exciting crabs we've ever presented to permit or big bonefish. It's another pattern made perfect by the new synthetic Guard Hair Chenille from Semperfli. This fly lights up with natural coloration from a blend of micro UV tinsel and translucent microfiber. It mimics the natural moss and algae that cover natural crabs on the flats. The BodyGuard Crab imitates a fleeing crab that's evading a predator.

A dominant fighting claw protects the crab's body as his other micro-chenille legs move nervously. The hot orange dumbbell eyes balance the fly just right to posture the claw up and towards the permit’s mouth. Micro chenille legs keep it animated and a belly of natural Guanaja sand leaves no doubt in the permit’s mind that he's in for an easy meal.
