Tenkara is an ancient Japanese style of fly fishing and fly tying, developed in high mountain streams. 

This approach to fly fishing simplifies the flies and gear to let the angler focus on the drag free drift from the highly buoyant kebari flies. We love the stress free and ultralight approach to fly fishing, especially during the summer.

You don't need a special rod and gear to enjoy the simplicity of our custom Tenkara Fly Kit. Kebari flies imitate a wide range of aquatic and terrestrial insects trapped on the surface. Their unique reverse hackle helps them stay up like an emerger but works like a soft hackle fly at imitating any type of insect trout or panfish would eat.
