The Crab Brûlée fly was designed by Dave McKenna to imitate the compact crabs that are found around every rock and coral reef in the Caribbean.
These stout little crabs are tied with sand-crusted bellies, durable chenille legs, and a specially torched Crab Tab, made of 100% recycled plastic water bottles. These flies are ready to face off with any permit or bonefish.
For Spring 2021, the Crab Brulee is tied on an Umpqua U401 2XH Saltwater hook and a medium lead-dumbbell with a sand/epoxy belly. This ensures a natural moving fly that swims with the hook pointed up, throughout the entire retrieve.
